Who We Are
Aran-Orin is a town in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, Nigeria. It originated from Ile-Ife. It is a border town located very close to Osun State and Ekiti State to the west and south respectively. Aran-Orin is about 8 kilometres (5 mi) from Omu-Aran the local government headquarters. Other towns in close proximity are Arandun, Rore, Ipetu, Erinmope , Ilale and Ayedun all in Kwara State. Ora-Igbomina is the closest town in Osun State.
Oil deposits were discovered in Aran-Orin in 2011.
Aran Orin has a group of elected indigenes that help the royal council in administering the affairs of the town. The group is called Aran Orin Progressive Union (APU). The body consists of democratically elected representatives by the indigenes of the town. The town is known to be an igbomina speaking community, one of the Yoruba version languages
The current executive body is headed by Elder Sunday Oyedepo, an accomplished business man , also hails from Irese compound of the town.

Chief Adapela Olubuade Adigbematu OLANIPEKUN, the Legend. He led Arandun to the present Site in his spectacular masquerade PENBE regalia in 1932. He joined his ancestors 37 years ago! He was indeed a great man, history will never forget in a thousand years!

Recent Event
Free Medical services by Aran-orin vangaurd on 27th December , 2021
The event held at the premises of Aran-Orin Health Centre. Medical personnel included members of Aran-Orin Vanguard, volunteers from Unilorin Teaching Hospital, Afe Babalola University/ Federal Medical Centre, . Others were our town’s people from Island Maternity Hospital, Lagos and Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta as well as an Ophthalmologist who works for himself. All these were in collaboration with the staff of the Health Centre and some APU Health Committee members who stayed with us all through.
I understand over 400 people benefitted from the free medical services which included provision of eye glasses to more than 50 people.
We also observed that some of the people have high blood pressure. Some are in the range of over 200 which we have been advised is very dangerous as a little fall can be disastrous for such aged people. We want to appeal to those of us that have aged people at home to monitor them for their BP and possibly arrange for the Health Centre Staff to assist with regular check up of their BP.
We are looking forward to providing a free and very comprehensive eye services during the Easter period. It may include eye surgery for those that require it. We are collaborating fully with Unilorin Teaching Hospital on this.
We also observed that the Health Centre is a big facility and we are fortunate to have such in Aran-Orin. However, some of the infrastructures are in terrible states. We understand that Dr. Bunmi Jetawo has used her influence and resources to do so much renovation and maintenance there over the years. So also APU Committee on Health and some other high personality individuals from Aran-Orin.
We observed the doctor’s quarters, the generator house, the mortuary building and some other facilities were razed by fire. The land we understand has also been seriously encroached.
We are looking forward to raise money with God’s help to reinstate some of the structures this year. We would like to join hands with the likes of Dr. Bunmi Jetawo and those eminent individuals that have worked over the years to keep the Health Centre alive. We are trying to identify NGOs that can support this course. We are also using this opportunity to inform our people all the over world that we may be reaching out to you on this effort.
You can trust us in Aran-Orin Vanguard that we are a highly credible group (of/ and individuals/ professionals). We have excellent system of accountability for all resources and we are not wasteful. All we have been doing for the past 11 years are projects to promote development of Aran-Orin Community and the health of her people. No agenda other than that. We have no ulterior motive of any kind. We have doctors, pharmarcists, insurance experts, accountants, engineers, academics including a professor, etc in our midst
We also appeal to other professionals that are looking for platforms to contribute to Aran-Orin Progress to join us as members. We are not limited by age groups but bond by professionalism, integrity and PASSION for the progress of Aran-Orin. .
